Government Should Grant Free Healthcare Through Taxes

According to Cambridge Dictionary, healthcare means the set of services provided by a country or an organization for the treatment of the physically and mentally illness. Government is a party who has full responsiblity for its citizens. I certainly agree if healthcare should be a government responsibility and government should fund free healthcare through taxes for its citizens.

Medical facilities and medical treatments are expensive, its only could be reached by wealth people. Based on Indonesian Statistical Center, 9,82% of Indonesian citizens are live in poverty, its means that they will not able to fund their medical treatment by themselves. There is a baby named Deborah, she died after not getting treatment in the PICU room because her parents did not have enough money to pay the fee, the hospital was required them to pay IDR 19,000,000.00 to get this facility. Many people out there indeed need free healthcare to save their life. In spite of poverty, everyone are deserve to get a worthy healthcare.

By providing free healthacare, means that government will get economic beneficial by controls the price of medication and medical services through negotiation and regulation to the hospital. Government will require hospitals and doctors to provide the same standard of service at a low cost.Government will set the lower healthcare cost for an economy. Government will able to fund healthcare for its citizens when the government have enough fund from collecting taxes. Government should funding the healthcare through taxes because taxes is an income resource for the government. Goverment will reach stability in national economy and healthy when gaining enough income from its citizens and funding the healthcare facilities for its citizens.

Wealth people are tend to choose private healthcare as an alternative to avoid long hospital waiting lists which caused by patient who use subvention healthcare from government. In Indonesia, the government's subvention healthcare is known as JKN which stand for National Health Insurance.Despite of long waiting hospital list, 77% of Indonesian citizens has registered in National Health Insurance which means that majority of citizen choose this facility rather than private insurance.

In conclusion, I do agree that government should grant free healthcare through taxes for citizens to reach the stability of national economy and national healthy. Even though the National Health Care has limitation such lack of systems, numerous of people out there still choose using this facility because they need it to relieve their burden.
